Belle "Starr" Mead - February 19, 1998 - November 3, 2008 - Best friend, confidant, protector - loyal, affectionate, inquisitive, goofy - so many different things to the two of us. Mark, Sam and my heart are broken. The house is so empty this morning.We've had Belle since she was 6 weeks old but knew her from the day she was born. She survived double ACL surgery when she was 7 but couldn't survive her cancer diagnosis yesterday morning so we had to make a difficult decision so she wouldn't experience future suffering.
You'll always be missed but never forgotten. We love you.
As soon as I can find her puppy album and feel up to writing more I'll post again.

So sad to hear of this, I know you all are heartbroken. She was a great kid, companion and friend that will be missed. I know Sam will be lonley now without another kid to play with.

Thank you for sharing your news about Belle. We understand completely. It's very sad, and you were very brave to do the right thing. You were her friend and protector, too, and you kept her from suffering - that's a LOT of love! We send our sympathies and love, and look forward to the puppy diaries when you are ready!
Take good care of yourselves - we will be up this weekend, maybe we'll actually catch you at home?
